How it works

General

  1. You rush Hextech Rocketbelt #1, Liandry's Torment #2.
  2. You get Cosmic Insight rune to use Hextech Rocketbelt more often.
  3. You poke with Hextech Rocketbelt and First Strike to earn gold and burn enemies.
  4. After core items, you adapt. You can play as a tank or as a damage dealer.

How to play

General

  1. Use Hextech Rocketbelt active to poke your enemies all the time, earning gold with First Strike.
  2. Adapt to the enemy team. Build tanky or more damage. You can play as a utility tank, poke, or even you can go some AD items to still have plenty of damage. Depends on the team and how you want to play.
  3. For utility tank, remember that Liandry's Torment works good with Serpent's Fang (to counter shields) and Oblivion Orb (to counter healing).
  4. Cosmic Insight reduces the cooldown of all active items, so Zhonya's Hourglass really works well with this build.
  5. Wait for the First Strike and proc it with your combo, to deal damage and earn gold.
  6. Be careful to not get poked, because you waste First Strike procs.
  7. Your main combo is First Strike + Hextech Rocketbelt + get in range + E + Q.
  8. Your alternate combo just for poke is First Strike + Hextech Rocketbelt.

Tips and Tricks

Champion

  1. Combo #1: You can Flash during Decimate (Q) animation.
  2. Decimate (Q) + Flash Combo: wait till the end of Q animation to Flash. This way, your enemies will have less time to react, and you can surprise them.
  3. Darius is all about bleeds. Focus on getting 5 stacks - for example, you can stack it on their tanks/frontline, and once stacked you can focus on their backline for easier kills (Mark/Flash).
  4. Apprehend (E) is a powerful cooldown. You can use to cancel enemy abilities (example: Riven Q3 or Camille and many more). Do not waste it right away, but wait for a good moment (like when somebody tries to Flash away from you, or to cancel some of their abilities).

Riot

  1. Decimate is a powerful harassment ability. Strike an enemy from maximum range for the greatest effect.
  2. Noxian Guillotine does more damage the more attacks you can land prior to it. Use Noxian Might to deal maximum damage.
  3. Darius benefits greatly from enhanced survivability. The longer you can prolong a fight, the more powerful he becomes.
