How it works

General
  1. You play as Mage building Burn items.
  2. You rush Liandry's Torment.
  3. You burn your enemies. With DOTs. And debuffs.

How to play

General
  1. Playing AP Burn Nasus build, your default rush is Liandry's Torment vs. HP, Blackfire Torch vs. squishes. Then get the other item
  2. Adapt to an enemy team. Are they full of tanks, and they rush tons of Magic Resist? You rush Void Staff as #2 or #3 item to counter MR stacking. Their team has champs with lots of healing? Rush Oblivion Orb as #2 item (upgrade to Morellonomicon as 4th or 5th item).
  3. Items like Morellonomicon or Oblivon Orb are extra effective with this build, thanks to damage over time effects from Liandry's Torment.
  4. An enemy team has an extremely strong shielding? You can get Serpent's Fang to counter it. It works with your DoTs, meaning shield reduction lasts longer.
  5. They have lots of melee? Or you just want to kite them? Get Rylai's Crystal Scepter.
  6. Somebody is going after you each fight? Always getting ulted by enemy assassins? Rush Zhonya's Hourglass.
  7. If you are doing well, are ahead and want to have some fun, you can buy The Collector item. It works off your damage over time effects!
Nasus AP Burn specific
  1. You are gonna be melting tanks in melee range, thanks to your Spirit Fire (E), Liandry's Torment and Fury of the Sands (R) AOE % damage aura.
  2. You are gonna quite tanky because R gives you HP, Magic Resist and Armor. Do not be afraid to use it, just for survival.
  3. Your usual poke combo is to cast Spirit Fire (E) on enemies on max range. Bonus points if you face another direction then cast it, so they are gonna most likely get it.
  4. E works quite good for poke, because it lasts for a few seconds, and every time enemy enters the zone, they trigger your burn effect again.
  5. Your all in combo is to use R + Snowball to enemy team + E + and stay as long as you can. In emergency situations, pop Zhonyas (in a way, it is something very similar to Fidddlesticks' R)

Tips and Tricks

General
  1. Always try stacking your Siphon Strike (Q), even if you are playing very unusual builds like AP or Support. It's gonna help with farming, emergency damage or when pushing turret.
  2. Your Siphon Strike (Q) resets auto. Try weaving it: auto - Q - auto. This maximizes damage output (especially important to push turrets faster).
  3. Want to push turrets even faster? Use your Fury of the Sands (R) to reduce your Q cooldown and weave-Q spam to destroy turret quicker.
  4. Usually spam your Wither (W) on enemy carries, it is a great catching tool.
Riot
  1. Paying attention to last hitting with Siphoning Strike will have a large impact at the end of a game.
  2. If you're solo, Spirit Fire is a great way to farm a lane. It can be bad if you're in a lane with 2 and you push too far. Find the right balance between Siphoning Strike last hits and AoE farming.
  3. If you have low defenses, people will focus you down even during your ultimate. Try buying some survivability items even in your DPS builds.
